Amalea getting ready for her doctors appointment.  You can see that she wasn’t so thrilled about it and had to sit on daddy’s lap most of the time.  Amalea is healthy and doing well….our biggest concern about her is her weight.  She doesn’t even weigh enough to be on the percentile chart for kids her age (she is 22 pounds and 2 years old).  The pediatrician didn’t seem too concerned because Amalea does eat and her other measurements (head circumference and height) are in the 50th percentile so they are on the chart.

Maya also got to go to the doctor (we did their appointments together to save trips).  She was in the 75th percentile for head circumference, height, and weight (she is 12 pounds).  She did great at the doctor, but did get 3 shots and an oral immunization so she was very unhappy about that.  It is so hard to hear her scream and not be able to do anything about it!

Mama with Ami at the Zoo

Amalea turned 2 last week and we celebrated with a trip to the Zoo. We go to the Zoo fairly often (thanks Bry and Tessa for the membership), but this time Oma and Pop got to come (Robins parents). Amalea has really developed into her own little person. She can carry on a conversation and speak in sentences; and she still laughs incredibly hard and reminds me to enjoy the fun things in life more.
Maya is almost 2 months old and growing incredibly fast! She might even need to start wearing some of her 3 month clothes soon. She coos and smiles a lot more often now and is starting to play more with us so that is a lot of fun.
Jim and I are figuring out how to parent two kids while he works a full time job and I stay home. I feel like every day we get a little better, even though we are definitely very tired:-)
