Playing with Isa

26 Jul

Ami’s new friend, Issabella (Isa) is from Peru. She is the daughter of Ricky and Tracie who are missionaries Jim stayed with in Peru last summer.  It was so fun to have them over and watch the girls play together…they had a blast running around screaming and sharing toys.

Early bunk beds

20 Jul

This morning while I was getting ready Amalea decided to clumb into the basket under Maya’s bassinet.  She thought it was so fun!  I told her she could sleep there and Maya could sleep on top and it would be like early bunk beds…she kept laughing at that and went and got a blanket for Maya and a blanket for herself and then laid down.

Museum

9 Jul

A lot of people have told me that the Portland Children’s Museum would be a great place to take Amalea, but I was always hesitant because I wasn’t sure that a “museum” was the best place for her.  She is a bit hyper and loves to run and touch and get into things.  Little did I know, but the Portland Children’s Museum is more like a giant indoor playground – and it was exactly what Amalea would love.  We left there with a one year membership for the family because it was so great!
